Nasriah is a dedicated mother and clinical psychologist with 8 years of experience working across two countries. She is registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore followed by a Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Queensland (UQ) in Australia in 2015.

She enjoys working with children, young adults and adults from all walks of life and neurodiversity. Nasriah is warm, kind and authentic. While she recognises that life is not without suffering, she genuinely believes in the worth and the power of the individual to reclaim themselves as they journey in life.

Nasriah respects the human experience and choices people make while helping them accept their challenges and discover, with self-compassion, new ways of coping with life’s setbacks. One of the hardest things to say is, “I’m not ok” and taking that step to seek support while letting go of inner criticism and judgements is brave and honourable.

Nasriah takes a compassionate and mindfulness approach to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Nasriah’s professional journey in the Association of People with Special Needs (APSN) and clinical and community services in Queensland has given her experience assessing neurodevelopmental conditions, mood, anxiety and stress issues in addition to providing therapeutic support. She is well versed in Triple P Positive Parenting Programme and Fear-less Triple P (anxiety management).

She enjoys learning languages such as Arabic and currently dabbles in Vietnamese. Nasriah is currently living in her third city after leaving Singapore in 2018.

When she gets time alone, she enjoys a good cat stretch in the greenery and fresh air. When she doesn’t get time alone, she takes humour watching her kids throw sand at each other at the beach while she hides behind a good book. She does not enjoy washing their sandy hair and takes long, deep breaths while doing so.

Nasriah provides therapy in English and Malay.
